I've not been out and about as much as I would have liked in the last few months, but am aiming to get some new pic's on here soon
Here is my personal collection of London bus pic's that I have gathered by attending various shows and events (and just by being in the street at the right time with a camera), not all pic's will be of buses (ranging from RT's, RM's through to the latest ALX400's), some will be of items or London transport vehicles. But all will be in various stages of restoration or new 'on the street'.
There is also a section on my collection which at present numbers over 450 1/76 scale buses from EFE/OOC/CMNL/BRITBUS.
My whole collection isn't on here but I've picked some of the rare ones and some of my home made code 3's, I have also created a small collection of photo's about making code 3's I hope they inspire you!!
I started this website to share my memories visually with you all, I hope you enjoy looking and you can also leave comments if you want.
Also you can email me any pictures that you think should be included, those which I publish will be credited to you.
So far.....
1687 photo's
***UPDATED***
SHOWBUS 2008 and Oz buses added
35 collections
ENJOY.............. (and if you like something then post a comment!) |

First things first, I'm not a rivet counter and don't get stressed out if a bus has the incorrect pattern tyres! I purely just love the shape and purpose of the bus (even the new ones), when you get on an old bus for example, it has a certain smell about it, maybe it's leather, dust and dirt I can smell but it's a unique smell just like getting a new car.
Then of course there's the detail, always overlooked, silly things like the grab handle, well someone had to design it and decide where was the best place to put it not just to look pretty but to serve a purpose.
In about 20 to 30 years the ALX will be as much loved as the RT's and RM's (more DMS's are appearing at the shows) An RM is a classic image of our youth and the ALX will be a classic image of our childrens or grandchildrens youth, The face of London Transport is constantly changing and progressing otherwise George Shillibeer would still transport us around! |

I am selling a CD of the Cobham 2006 pictures (173 in total) yours for only £4.99 + 0.75 p+p. Email me if you want a copy.
Here you will find a collection of photo's taken by me at the Cobham 2006 open day, this event signals the start of the yearly rally season. The weather was a mixed pot of brilliant sunshine then the next minute horizontal rain and some hailstones thrown in! Luckily I managed to avoid every drop of rain that fell.

 | Tue 3rd Apr 07 | Cobham 2007
This year the rally was held at Longcross, an ex M.O.D. testing ground next to the M3 motorway, and, the weather was good and just got better as the day progressed!!

 | Mon 7th Apr 08 | Cobham open day April 2008
As you can see from the photos the day started for me in central London awaiting a lift with some pretty heavy snow. Luckily this eased into sleet and slowly into sunshine just as we were leaving

 | Mon 6th Mar 06 | COBHAM OPEN DAYS
I have now been to Cobham a few times and never leave with having a very enjoyable day. o.k. so it's sometimes a little crowded, but these are happy crowds who are always happy to talk to you about all things bus. The support from fellow exhibitors and visitors to the museum keeps these vehicles alive and running.
Just think if no one cared and all the old buses we see at these shows were scrapped and none were kept for restoration! Blimey!! then we'd have no history!!!

Hi,
I'm an average guy with the standard 2.4 children who in some of my spare time (of which there isn't much) goes to some of the bus shows and events along with snapping any buses I see in the streets.
I also have an extensive 1/76 scale collection of EFE/OOC/BRITBUS/CMNL London buses (totalling 385 to date) I have some of these buses pictured in 'almost the real thing' but there are way too many to put them all on!! maybe one day eh?
